Message from Dr. Ross Grumet for Potential New Patients
In our first visit I want to hear about your specific personal situation; and what’s truly on your mind. I will listen and advise or recommend the best path forward. If you choose to invite a significant other person, that is perfectly acceptable.
I frequently see people with adult attention disorder (ADD, ADHD); insomnia and sleep problems; various types of avoidance, anxiety, fear, interpersonal stress; and of course depression, unhappiness, and mood problems. I always address any hopelessness or suicidal thoughts. I also evaluate problems which are normal and common, stress and burnout included, (just as other physicians may treat colds and seasonal allergies).
I have a strong interest in habits and disorders related to substance use (alcohol, opioids/pain medication, smoking) as well as overeating. We may use medications to treat these problems (including buprenorphine/Suboxone) plus tutoring you in self control skills.
We accept Self Pay patients ($350 for initial visit and $125 and up for follow-up visits). As an example, follow-up visits for stable and uncomplicated ADHD may be every 3 months (4 visits per year). As another example, after the first visit, some Self Pay patients may be treated in follow-up visits via Skype or telephone appointments, for convenience and travel time, etc.
Same day – unscheduled appointments (walk ins) are $250 for established patients only.
We currently are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance only, and we accept contracted co-pays, deductibles, etc. (Note: we accept only Self Pay patients in the buprenorphine/Suboxone program). If your insurance coverage is uncertain, unknown, or not definitely clear, then we will collect $300 up front at first visit, pending clarification. To be transparent (Full Disclosure): We may be opting out of all insurance plans and networks before the end of 2016, so please keep this in mind when planning ahead.
When filling out the form below, please let us know your Self Pay or insurance status (specific plan).
