We schedule appointments Monday thru Friday 9:15am to 5:15pm. For all appointments, Dr. Grumet makes every effort to see you at your scheduled time, but there may be a wait due to emergencies.
If you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you provide us with as much notice as possible, but a minimum of at least 24 hours is required. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, there is a $95 fee. This fee is not covered by insurance.
Most significant questions should be brought to Dr. Grumet’s attention during your appointment. For additional questions, please call our office and speak with the staff. If the staff is unavailable, please leave a message on our voicemail. For voicemail messages, please speak clearly, leave your full name, date of birth, and daytime and evening telephone numbers. We try to return all calls within 24 business hours. For emergency situations, call 9-1-1 or contact one of the local mental facilities listed below.
Ridgeview Institute (located in Smyrna) – 770.434.4567

Anchor Hospital (located in South Atlanta) – 770.991.6044
Dr. Grumet schedules follow-up appointments to discuss your medication and any questions you may have. He prescribes sufficient medication to last until your follow up; as a general rule, our office does not call in prescriptions outside of office visits. If an appointment is rescheduled or missed and medication is required, we charge a $35 prescription call in fee. This fee is not covered by insurance and must be paid before other services are rendered. Please allow 24 hours for medications to be called in.
Unless prior arrangements are made with our office, payment is required at the time of service. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
Insurance Policies Accepted
We are “in-network” with the following policies. Some carriers outsource their mental health to a different company, you must verify your mental health carrier to determine if we are in-network with your policy.
- BlueCross BlueShield
We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid (including Medicare HMO policies)
Coverage varies widely from plan to plan and we cannot guarantee that your plan will cover your visits. We recommend calling your insurance company before your visit to find out your mental health benefits, which may differ from your regular benefits. It is also very helpful to ask how much your co-pay is per visit and what your balance is for your yearly deductible. Remember you are your own best advocate for any insurance issues. You are solely responsible for your charges in the event that your carrier denies payment for your visits.
We do not file claims to carriers that we are not in-network with. We will provide the proper forms so that you may file a claim to your carrier directly.
